5 years ago, Frank Ngai and Homen Choi started working together in a software developer company, Xptech.

Because their field is physically and mentally demanding, they have grown accustom to coffee. Their long work nights have allowed them to taste the diverse selection of coffees.

Not satisfied with commercial coffee, Frank and Homen opened Perkulater. In 2001 they launched their first shop in at North Vancouver’s Capilano Mall and recently, in 2004, second shop on E14th St.
